What digital marketing costs in India
Published agency rates across India, what sits behind the spread, and how DigeeSell prices work. We do not sell fixed packages, so this page gives you the market first and our position second.
Short answer
How much does a digital marketing agency cost in India?
Published Indian agency rates in late 2026 run roughly ₹5,000 to ₹2,00,000 a month for SEO, ₹10,000 to ₹1,00,000 a month to manage paid media excluding ad spend — or 10 to 20 per cent of spend where a percentage model is used — ₹5,000 to ₹50,000 a month per platform for social media, and ₹8,000 to ₹60,000 a month for content. Most small and mid-sized engagements sit between ₹15,000 and ₹1,50,000 a month in total. DigeeSell starts at ₹40,000 a month for a single service, with combined services priced below the sum of the parts, and the scope above that floor agreed against a free audit rather than sold as a package.

What agencies in India publish
Advertised rates gathered from agency pricing pages and cost guides in October 2026. Treat them as a reference for judging a quote rather than a price list.
Why the range is so wide
The Indian market has a far wider spread than the UAE because it contains freelancers, small agencies and enterprise teams competing for the same search terms. A ₹5,000 retainer and a ₹2,00,000 retainer are not the same service bought at different scales; they are different services.
The variables that move a quote most are regional language coverage, the number of locations being targeted — Delhi, Gurugram and Noida are three markets rather than one, as sector-level search in Gurugram sets out — and sector regulation, where medical council limits, state RERA requirements and SEBI rules add review cycles to every piece of published material.
Flat fee or a percentage of ad spend?
Both models are common in India, and the difference matters. A percentage of spend, typically quoted at 10 to 20 per cent, means the agency earns more when you spend more — which is a poor incentive when the right recommendation is to spend less on a channel that is not working.
A flat management fee separates the agency's revenue from the budget decision. Whichever model is on the table, ask what happens to the fee if spend halves, and make sure the ad budget is quoted separately from the fee so the two are never compared as one number.
How DigeeSell prices work
Any single service starts at ₹40,000 a month. We do not take work below that, because beneath it the hours do not cover anything that changes a ranking — which is why the lower end of the market table above produces so little.
Services combined cost less than the same services bought separately: two that are ₹40,000 each individually are ₹60,000 together, because the research, technical work and reporting behind them overlap rather than being done twice.
Work is priced against a plan, not fixed packages. A free audit first establishes where search visibility and site performance are failing; the proposal then covers only what addresses those failures. Expected outcomes and timelines are agreed before any spend.
We publish the market above rather than a package table because a package priced before anyone has looked at the site is a guess. The audit establishes which failures are costing visibility, and the proposal covers those and nothing else.
How to judge a quote you have been given
- Ask what is excluded. Between an entry and a mid-market retainer the difference is usually technical work, content volume and link acquisition.
- Ask how many locations the quote covers. A retainer priced for one city will not produce visibility across NCR, and an agency that implies otherwise is either mispricing or planning doorway pages.
- Ask what counts as a lead. Click-to-WhatsApp and instant forms produce high volume and low qualification, so a cost per lead built on raw submissions is not comparable to one built on qualified conversations. Ours is defined on how we measure.
- Ask who owns the accounts, the content and the tracking when the engagement ends.

What do buyers ask before starting?
How much does SEO cost per month in India?
Published rates run from about ₹5,000 a month at the freelance and entry level to ₹2,00,000 and above for large programmes, with most mid-market retainers advertised between ₹15,000 and ₹50,000. The spread reflects genuinely different services rather than the same service at different scales.
What is DigeeSell's minimum engagement in India?
₹40,000 a month for a single service. That sits above the freelance and budget-agency band deliberately: below it the hours do not cover the technical work, content and link acquisition that actually move a ranking.
Is it cheaper to combine services?
Yes. Two services that are ₹40,000 each individually come to ₹60,000 together, because the research, technical work and reporting behind them overlap rather than being done twice. Three or more are quoted against the audit on the same principle.
Does DigeeSell have fixed packages?
No. There is a floor — ₹40,000 a month for a single service — and above it scope is agreed against a free audit that establishes what is actually failing. No published tiers, because a tier priced before anyone has looked at the site is a guess.
Should ads management be a flat fee or a percentage of spend?
Both are common in India, with percentage models typically quoted at 10 to 20 per cent. A flat fee separates the agency's revenue from the budget decision, which removes the incentive to recommend higher spend. Whichever applies, the ad budget should be quoted separately from the fee.
Why would one agency quote ₹15,000 and another ₹1,50,000 for the same brief?
Usually because they are not proposing the same work. The higher quote generally includes technical work, more content, link acquisition and senior time; the lower one often covers reporting and a small number of on-page edits. Ask both what is excluded and the difference becomes visible.
Does covering Delhi, Gurugram and Noida cost three times as much?
Not three times, but more than one city. They are separate search markets and each needs its own signals — a listing, pages that answer that area's queries, and reviews from customers there. A quote priced for one city will not deliver all three, and pages that swap the city name into one template are doorway pages.
What is the cheapest useful starting point?
A technical fix and an accurate Google Business Profile, before any retainer. If crawling, indexation or rendering is broken, a content retainer spends money producing pages search engines cannot read.
